Camp Electric Winner

Congratulations to 17 year old Walter Hendrickson III of Kingsport, the winner of a week at Camp Electric, a summer music camp, in Nashville.

Here's part of the story Walter's parents shared about him:

I would like to tell you about an amazing 17 year-old young man that loves
the Lord and has a heart to serve the people of his community. He is a
senior at Dobyns Bennett High School that has earned an athletic
scholarship and has chosen to go to a Christian college to major in
Worship Leadership. Walter has been playing lead guitar in our church for
all three Sunday services for over a year now, and he is also the worship
leader for his youth group. He has written a few songs one of which he
wrote for a girl in his school that lost her mother in a car accident.
...He feels called to music ministry and really has a heart for worship. We
are very proud of Walter, and feel that he could really benefit from this
experience. It would give him the opportunity to further explore God's
calling on his life.

Congrats Walter and thanks for ALL the entries!!!

Thanks Food Lion!

This morning I shared how Katrina and Jason Wells helped me score big-time brownie points with my wife. Katrina heard me talk about how big of a Kyle Busch fan my wife is and how I was hoping someone from Food Lion could hook me up with a cardboard cut-out of Kyle. Katrina introduced me to her husband Jason, a manager at Food Lion in Gate City VA, and he came through BIG TIME!!!

Thanks Jason and Katrina, she's still smiling!!!
